responsibility is a very important factor in life. It plays a big role in society holding communities together allowing people to live together effectively. People have to respect each other and themselves, which is why being responsible towards society is important because it’s each individual’s role to support each of their communities. Nobody is forced to do so but it is a matter of morale. If one wants to live in a civilized society, responsibility towards each of their actions is inevitable. As the present society progresses, people consume more goods than ever before, which also leads to more production. Consumer behavior is different in each country depending on factors like equality in wealth distribution or education level. Research shows that people nowadays are consuming less responsibility today than five years ago and our actions affect the environment in many different ways triggering global warming, causing more poverty affecting all lifestyles of people and animals. Many people are careless about consuming and producing only giving importance to their profit and well-being while in reality, their actions affect not only others but themselves too. We must not forget that we are the ones consuming goods and some, producing them. The matter is definitely not unattached to us. The claim that there won’t be enough food for the growing population is especially troubling since 1.3 billion tonnes of food produced for human consumption are lost or wasted annually. At the same time, vast swathes of precious forests are cleared to make space for farming to produce yet more food.

However, something can be done. We can start by applying the theory of change. Theory of Change is how one can make inspiring quotes into a reality, how do we actually see the change, or how do we actually communicate the change.

The model —

Pack leftovers

Start planning before buying

Store cooked food on shelves above raw food.

Keep the fridge below 5 c

Start encouraging more food awareness starting from the government than to the popular markets.

Less overbuy, more awareness, correctly store food, less ground toss, shop smarter.

Reduce food waste

Applying the 5 whys-

Problem — Each year, around ⅓ of all food produced in the world is wasted, some ended up rotting the bins of consumers and retailers or spoiled from poor transportation or bad harvesting.

Why? — Food rot in bins or spoiled from poor transportation/ bad harvest

Why? — Too much food/ budget saving

Why? — overproducing or overbuying/ make profit from the budget cut

Why? — overproduction is largely caused by faults in the planning and execution process. Some of the most common are cutbacks by funders and governments. Government funders will reduce fundings as revenues decline or policies change

.

Why? — most common reasons for bad planning :

Lack of teamwork, one cant execute a strategy alone.

Unclear objectives

Failure to celebrate success.

Cutbacks in reverse — lower government spending frees economic resources for investment in the private sector, which improves consumer wealth.
